  2. Six Bells Pub in Cliffe near Rochester, Kent has a Classic car and Bike Event, Meeting, Gathering once a month. During summer it gets really busy with hundreds of people attending from 4.00pm onwards. I have been there before in the S10 but yesterday I took the Astro van again. Going via the best road, still a terrible surface as low cal council continues to fail on even the most basic level, to maintain roads, it is about 10 miles or 16km So I got there early and left quite early as well, with loads of cars and bikes passing me on my way home by 7.00pm after being there 3 hours. I made up a short clip of cars attending and a few arriving. My buddy Ricky is a regular in his own built beauty. And of course the Six Bells pub on the corner. I had a £5.00 hamburger with cheese, onion and a really nice BBQ sauce. And it was absolutely delicious and worth the money. VIDEO https://youtu.be/Tu9fuJCx8dI?si=OeET7K52klpub3y7 I will certainly attend again in May, when the next meeting is, if I remember on the day. Insomnia sucks.

    2000 Jaguar XJ8

Pulled the trim away tonight and discovered the PREMIUM SOUNDS. That runs the speakers in the doors. There's wiring for a sub amp. No idea where it is though. However, that can go on the wish list. Light bulbs in the dash were a success. Phil

  6. Have a bonus shite limo that apparently is for sale
  7. Here it is, sadly the intense sun seems to disguise it's flaws. It's vast, absurdly so and gopping in my opinion.
  8. thats very interesting! that does not actually line up with any Model 70 that I am aware of, I look forward to seeing anymore details you can grab next time round a bit more then read the book, I have been in direct communication with him for a little bit now it turns out when he went to the Coventry archives to look at their registration records, even tho he himself is not an IC enthusiast per say, he noticed the large blocks of Tippen Delta's and made note of the earliest blocks and the last blocks, data which he very kindly shared with me and has proven to be most awesome to have it will be getting a write up in its own time, but it confirmed I was very much correct/on the right track when it came to my Tippen Delta block finding, and has provied me with a wealth of additional information, especially on the early blocks and confirmed that indeed OVC412H-OVC511H was both the last block of Petrol Tippen Delta's but the last block period, before Fred Miller Limited took over with their rebuilding scheme I then proceeded to blow Mr Mar's mind when I told him Tippen Delta's could reverse he says Non reversibles is exactly how its described by coventry themselves so he finds its (very understandably so) very curious that Delta's could indeed reverse I have got another for him like that which I have yet to pass on, but its funnily enough also with regards to Tippen Delta's the Fred Miller Tippen Delta machines, its well known those are petrol machines rebuilt and re-registered anew into electric machines, but note, ATD567J for example, is *not* in Lancashire's rebuilt series, none of the rebuilt Tippen Delta's are
  9. I “knew”that , just knew someone couldn’t resist , but it seems that’s wrong anyway.
  10. ok it was a single not an album, but what an excuse to get some old West Midlands tin on the shelves of your local record emporium.
  11. 2010 Crompton Electricar presented at the geneva motor show
  12. Changed a failed side lamp bulb on this shitheap today. Even a 2 minute job like this turned into a half hour battle, bulb holder seized so out with the jack/brace/pliers and wrench the damn thing out after taking the wheel off. Anyway, eventual success, and a free fix thanks to the box of reusable bulbs salvaged from scrap shitters.
  13. Rejection letter achieved! That's actually impressive in and of itself, I wasn't expecting anything on the first attempt. Found a vacancy at a local bakery that would suit so I'm going to try that out next, they want applicants to go to the bakery in person, which is a bit old school and suits me fine. Pretty sure I won't get it though, it's for the front of shop work and I can't remember going into a single bakery where that role was done by anything other than a woman of a certain age, which I am not. Perhaps it's my absence from the mainstream workforce for so many years, or perhaps it's the area, but the requirements on a lot of vacancies are a bit moon-on-a-stick. Minimum wage means minimum effort, right? It doesn't mean the employee is expected to be working 'continental shift' which is a thing I thought had gone out of fashion and am horrified seems to be back again. It's also weird how many employers expect a part time minimum wage monkey to be driving between multiple locations without any offer for covering that cost. All your wage is going to vanish on fuel and insurance before it even gets to the rent. Let's not even get started on the duplicitous way that wages are actually listed on a lot of vacancies, with things like 'pro rata' being an NHS favourite to obfuscate what you actually earn. Not sure what the deal is with the 'must speak English properly' and 'must have permission to work in the UK' statements on the vacancies is either. It could be good old Lincolnshire racism, that's been an abiding memory of the county since I was a child, or it could just be England being England. I don't feel particularly optimistic about getting a job I actually want to do, I will say that much. It's early days still, we'll see what happens.
  14. Denso got less dense today (maybe)
  15. Mittenwald is lovely. I only did it on a day trip from Munich but it looked like somewhere you could happily spend a lot of time doing nothing. It's a very pleasant train ride from Munich down to Mittenwald too.
  16. I managed to make a bit more time for tinkering this eve. Not many photos I’m afraid as I just wanted to crack on. First up was that breather hose. The part listings online had the specs for it as an 18mm id. I did not bother removing one and measuring the hose tail. I lived to regret this. It turns out the ends of the hose are a larger ID than the main body of it, so the 19mm oil hose I ordered didn’t fit. I don’t want to wait for Autodoc to deliver a proper hose, and all the spares on eBay etc. are also located in Europe. I had a scout around the garage and I discovered that my manual shite water pump that I keep handy in case of small floods has the perfect sized oil rated hose attached to it. Bodge time: It’s better than it was at least. The original pipe had cracked around about 75% of its circumference, and fell off in my hand. I’ve just cut it back to make it fit into a sleeve I cut from my hand pump. Job jobbed. Then after some fucking around, swearing and pulled back muscles, I managed to get the spare pump in place. Im really bloody hoping that woodruff key is located properly. It’s all gone into place so I’m hoping that the key is still there and hasn’t been mangled. Once it’s all back together I’ll leave the timing cover off temporarily and bar it over first. Im hoping to finish up tomorrow, all being well.
